ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY OF THE CHARACTER (LORE)
Introduced by Nintendo in 1998 in the video gameYoshi’s Storyfor the Nintendo 64, White Yoshi is, alongside Black Yoshi, one of the rarest and most secret colour variants of the Yoshi species. Within theSuper Mario franchise, these anthropomorphic dinosaurs from Yoshi’s Island act as the protagonist’s travelling companions. The white variant is distinguished by specific dietary preferences in its original games, favouring particular items or fruits to maximise its energy. This character also appears as a visual customisation option or an alternate fighter in the brand’s competitive or racing titles.
